Every young person has an outrageous goal when they were younger. I wanted to be a Dentist of all things! HELLO I think my career path now is the FARTHEST thing away from being a dentist possible.

After elementary school I realized that I enjoyed drawing. SO out the window went the Dentist idea and in came other ideas. I wanted to be an artist! THATS what I was going to be. I was bound and bent to become and artist and be RICH and FAMOUS.

When I was put forth where I wanted to attend high school I chose the Art high school H.B.Beal S.S. in downtown London. At this time I wanted to be a Walt Disney Animator.

At Beal we had many different studios that we got to try out. A taste of everything from Textiles (making felt, and anything to do with the fibres and clothing), to Ceramics and 3D. I also took Printmaking, Painting, Video, Photography, Animation and of course Commercial Art.

After taking two years at Beal, I decided to specialize in Animation and Commercial Art. It soon became apparent that I wanted to focus on Commercial Art, as my new passion. I realized that it was not only practical and fun but I could make a career out of it.

Once I graduated from Beal, the new goal was to choose where I wanted to attend College and what I wanted to do with my life. I applied to Sheridan College for Illustration and GOT ACCEPTED, I also applied to Fanshawe College for Multimedia Design as well as Graphic Design and was ACCEPTED as well. At first I really wanted to pursue the Illustration field and go to Sheridan. However, when I thought about it, I realized that Illustration wasn't what I was put on this earth to do. I love to draw but I am more into designing things that have a purpose. So, becoming a Graphic Designer was my ultimate goal.

I am now pursuing my goal as a Graphic Designer and loving every minute of it!!!

FUTURE GOALS....to continue to learn as much as I can from industry professionals and to work with my peers. To utilize my skills and to continue to learn new ones!
